Over 40 years of experience in motor racing and tuning as well as innovative developments make ABT Sportsline the world’s leading tuning company for the Audi, VW, and Skoda and Seat brands. “Exclusivity despite the mass” for 150 employees and over 60 importers all over the world.  Every year, in excess of 2 000 tuned cars leave the company’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Kempten, also home of the successful championship winning DTM Team and the development site for high-performance cars.  With the construction of a new office and showroom building, ABT Sportsline is ready for the future.

The company has been involved in the car business for three generations.  The start was the founding of a horse-shoeing company back in 1896, before the car finally came to replace the horse carriages in the 1920’s.  Nowadays, Hans-Jurgen and Christian Abt will make sure that ABT remains a family owned company.

The portfolio includes performance upgrades, sport suspensions, aerodynamic bodywork parts, wheels and exhaust systems, not to forget the complete cars with the unmistakable signatures of the designers and engineers from Kempten.

Moreover, ABT has become a centre for technological competence, having grown to a genuine car manufacturer.  From initial construction via CAD, to the production of almost all the necessary parts, the entire production can be done at ABT Sportsline.

Next to tuning, motor sport is ABT Sportsline’s second passion – one that is equally successful.   After winning the STW Championship title in 1999, the team celebrated the biggest success in the company’s history so far with Laurent Alello’s title in the DTM 2002 Season.

In 2003 Abt started a close co-operation with Audi UK which made Abt an official supplier of VW and Audi in England.    All Abt products have TUV approval and have been tested by Audi UK for the latest generation Audi A4, TT Coupe, Roadster and the Quattro.    Since Abt uniquely develops tuning products for all Volkswagen Group cars, plans are always in place to extend the product range.
