Wing doors for various car models
A sensational new product was premiered at the Tuning World Bodensee 2004 show: It is the trendy product for the new season - wing doors that are easy to retrofit on most car models, such as the VW Golf V, Honda Civic, Audi A3 etc.
LSD Solutions GmbH is the first company to offer ready-to-install solutions. LSD door fittings specially designed for each car model really mean that they are ready to install and are not just universal kits. LSD (Lambo Style Doors) are simply bolted to the fixing points of the original door hinges. It takes just a short assembly time and the doors, which are otherwise unchanged, will swing up just like on a Lamborghini. The door kits are not just show products that are easy and quick to install, they are intended for practical everyday use. The design is ingenious right down to minute construction details. The modified door fittings have two opening functions: the doors can either open outwards normally or they can be switched to act as wing doors and swing upwards.
Lateral collision test according to ECE-R 95 and EG rule 96/27/EWG
 On 11th May 2005 the DEKRA Accident Research & Collision Test Center performed a lateral collision test with an Audi TT equipped with a LSD hinge system at the request of KW automotive GmbH. The DEKRA Accident Research & Collision Test Center is an accredited experimental laboratory of KBA Kraftfahrzeugbundesamt (Federal Motor Transport Authority). The collision test was performed according to ECE-R95 and EG rule 96/27/EWG, where a lateral collision with a moving barrier on the driver's side is performed at 50 km/h with 100% horizontal coverage. A dummy (type Euro-SID 1) was used to measure the passenger protection and identification of the loads for head, chest, abdomen and pelvis.
This lateral collision test impressively verified that the passenger protection with a LSD hinge system is guaranteed according to the automotive crash test standards ECE R95 and 96/27/EG.
